Brief is the key word for this review. I'm not going to force myself to be too descriptive on the plot, because if I did, it'd be more interesting than the plot.

Have you played the game? Well, you know the characters and you know the text based plot for your task so I'd have to say this movie does it justice in that regard.

As a movie in itself, it is a nightmare to watch. Even the scene selections show you exactly that ALL scenes are simple individual events that don't seem to coincide much with any around them.

And our own Kylie Minogue, forced to act in this movie, a fate worse than neighbours, and that annoyingly fake accent. Oh the accents, nearly every character just don't sound right.

Oh bugger it, onto the disc itself.

Good quality here, very sharp, nice deep shadows, rich colors and surprisingly not as many imperfections as maybe I was hoping to find. Naughty me. :)

The only quality issue was the original lighting used in some scenes for this movie. They didn't seem too professional and with the accurated duplication that dvd can provide, it shows in the final product.

Whats with that big screen TV and that joystick console Bison has toward the end of the movie. Ok, back to the review.

      Audio
    Contract

Ok, in the scene where Vega first appears, listen to the sound effects used for his claws and other punches/slashes he throws. Do you agree with me in over-exaggerated effects?

"Quick, change the channel" - now thats what I call quality audio from the center speaker. This film is full of the most sickening one-liners I've come across.

Back to the review Steve. Surround effects are present but I wasn't paying attention too much. Overly used bass was present in some scenes but it could also have been me falling asleep and been woken up with some explosions.

Nothing on this disc, keep moving. Maybe a Dolby Digital trailer playing on loop for 2 hours could save this disc.

      Overall
    Contract

Bring the animated version out in an anamorphic transfer. Other than that, stay clear of this one, even for fans of the game and Van Damme.
